The Trombone Concerto by Kalevi Aho in the world premiere in The Hague

The Residentie Orkest (The Hague Philharmonic) plays on Friday 2 March with Santtu-Matias Rouvali the Trombone Concerto of Kalevi Aho. This will be the world premiere.

The orchestra will play also the “Helix” by Esa-Pekka Salonen and Theo Verbey’s “Fractal Symphony”, commissioned in 2004 by the Residentie Orkest for its one hondredth birthday. Aho’s Trombone Concerto will be played by Jörgen van Rijen, for whom it was composed.
